David Seibel is an attorney, conflict management consultant, mediator
and professor in the fields of effective negotiation, communication
and mediation. He is co-founder of Insight Partners, a Cambridge MA
based company offering conflict management consulting and training
to a diverse group of clients.
After
earning a bachelor's degree in world literature from Middlebury College
, Mr. Seibel studied Chinese language, law and mediation in the People's
Republic of China . He then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Harvard
Law School . He served as president of the Harvard Mediation Program,
and later Sacks Fellow at the Hale and Dorr Legal Services Center
of Harvard Law School. There he practiced, taught and studied family
law-based advocacy, negotiation, and mediation.
After
practicing law at Goodwin Procter LLP in Boston , Mr. Seibel established
Insight Partners in 2002. For 10 years, he has provided training,
facilitation, coaching and mediation services through organizations
such as Harvard Law School 's Program of Instruction for Lawyers,
Third Eye Partners, CMI-Vantage Partners, Mediation Works Incorporated,
and the Community Dispute Settlement Center . He is also an associate
faculty member at Harvard Law School 's Program on Negotiation and
an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts .
Mr.
Seibel currently advises and trains companies, organizations and individuals
on effective communication, mediation and negotiation throughout the
world. He mediates a wide range of criminal and civil disputes. Recently,
he conducted strategic relationship management and negotiation skills
training for staff members at the International Criminal Court in
The Hague .
