This year's banquet speaker will be

Suzanne Goulet Orenstein

Senior Consultant to the Consensus Building Institute, and private practitioner based in Massachusetts


Suzanne Orenstein is a consultant and facilitator with over twenty years experience and expertise in inter-organizational collaboration and dispute resolution on public policy issues.  Ms. Orenstein has facilitated meetings and collaborative planning processes involving technical and scientific controversies at the national, state, regional and local levels.  She facilitated several Federal Advisory Groups and negotiated rulemaking processes, and she has conducted numerous conflict assessments about the application of collaborative approaches in diverse public policy contexts.  She is a specialist in assessing, designing and managing the full range of processes for collaboration and consensus on numerous public issues, including environmental policies, health concerns, alternative energy development, tribal education standards, and transportation planning.   Ms. Orenstein is the former Vice President of RESOLVE, a 25-person non-profit organization based in Washington DC which focuses on collaboration and conflict resolution for public policy issues.  She is currently a Senior Consultant to the Consensus Building Institute, and a private practitioner based in MA.
